The SALT, The Soul of Color, Flavor and Style exhibition opens as part of the Korean Craft & Food Culture Special Exhibition has been held in collaboration by the Korea Craft & Design Foundation and the National Folk Museum of Korea since 2016. This year’s exhibition presents Korean salt and food culture as well as related Korean art works in association with Special Exhibition Homo Salinus Sapiens of the National Folk Museum of Korea. Salt, food, and craft refine natural ingredients with human labor, creating the needs of families and communities. Connections are drawn among white salt crystals made in nature, the color of salt, the flavor of food infused with salt and the style of craft which fully demonstrates this color and flavor. Together with paintings, photographs, and videos, the outstanding works of contemporary craftsmen created from various materials will be on display, featuring the true artistic attitude and values of an exhibition that combines and integrates elements of sight, taste and touch.
