2015 Come to my crafts festival!

National Folk Museum of Korea offers more than 80 kinds of education programs for generations of all ages and disabled people. NFMK presents this special exhibition, displaying our program participants made craft items and their activities, “2015 Come to my crafts festival”.

Weekend Educational Programs
All participants had the opportunities to develop shared culture experiences with their families through our educational programs and also get to know more about folk cultures as well.


Afterschool Programs
NFMK operated both afterschool programs and school curriculum connection programs. Participants could go into further depth with Korean history and folklore through exploring and experiencing museum artifacts.


School Vacation Programs
The museum’s school vacation program offered unique opportunities for children to select programs in accordance with individual interest and time; to learn and experience during school vacation period.


Outreach Programs
NFMK operated the regional culture education program that in connection with the year of the Gyeonggi folk culture. This program included local community visits that helped participants to increase awareness of the regional cultures.


Holiday Programs
The holiday program at the museum presented as various programs, including annual seasonal customs education programs and holiday activities during holiday period. These programs gave participants the opportunity of learning about disappearing traditional Korean cultures and of building shared cultural understanding between different generations through cultural experience activities.


Kids Programs
The Children's Museum newly started offering programs for child’s ages 20 months to 36 months since 2015. Young learners enjoyed our programs with their parents and caregivers at the museum.


Interactive Exhibition Explorations
NFMK operated educational programs part of the museum's exhibition. These programs provided the chance for participants to engage with current exhibitions through interactive exhibition explorations in area museums, exhibitions and classrooms.


Family as Curator Program
This program is called as " Minsongnuridan " and has launched since 2015 first time. It was designed for children and their families to get real hands-on experience curator's job: research and study and education, exhibition, marketing and collection management.


Disability Programs
NFMK operated inspirational education programs for the disabled. They loved to explore and enjoy the museum without limitations and the fear of being judged through this program.


Youth Programs
The museum's youth programs were designed to evoke their curiosity, encouraging them to think creatively and explore themselves who they are. It can help them to succeed in high school, college and beyond.


Adult Programs
The museum’s adult programs have been so popular among adults who are interested in gaining folklore culture experience and continuing personal development.


The special exhibition is made possible by participation with public audiences who have participated in NFMK's various education programs through this year.
